AWENDER, Johann (John) Hans – Passed away peacefully at the Royal Victoria Regional Health Centre in Barrie on Saturday, February 17th, 2018 in his 86th year. John was born in Ernsthausen, Yugoslavia and moved to Canada in 1953. Beloved husband of Maria (predeceased). John will be lovingly remembered by his family. Cremation has taken place. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer Society or the Grove Park Home (cheques only) through the INNISFIL FUNERAL HOME, 7910 Yonge Street (Stroud). Words of comfort may be forwarded to the family by visiting www.innisfilfuneralhome.ca

Sorry to hear the news, my parents happened to read the obituary in the paper, my dad was saddened to come across it...Helmut and Theresia are sorry to learn their long time friend has passed away...they have shared so many hilarious stories with us over the years of the antics our parents used to get in to...love the tales about your father in particular, chickens etc....thinking of you all...Helmut , Theresia, Michael, Rick and Wendy Gross...*my husband Graham worked with your dad at Binney and Smith in Lindsay, he loved his summer job working with your dad, made him laugh daily
