What a character. Im thankful to have known him and honoured to have his daughter and wonderful family as dearest friends. What a legacy he leaves. Snappy demeanour, intelligence, wit, challenging conversationalist- especially in his area of expertise-bat house maker. Tip of the hat to you Jack.

Our sincerest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your father. Rembering the good times we shared.

Here’s a few random thoughts about my dad. The 5 P’s. proper presentation prevents poor presentation. Never get yourself into a spot you can’t get out of. Waiting for my dad to come home from work and playing Batman. That consisted of him lying on the floor and running around him with dish towel capes singing the TV show theme song “da da Batman” then he’d pounce! Dad dressing like a poor farmer with Malcolm and going to farm auctions. The worst punishment I ever received. Being sent to my room then dad would turn on the Six Million Dollar Man show. He’d turn up the volume so I could hear it but couldn’t see it. Torture! Watching and learning how to build things. Everything except fine carpentry, not one his strengths! Seeing his expression when I graduated university and the Police College. He was proud of me. The house in Erin was his sanctuary. Love you dad.

We’re deeply saddened to hear of Jack’s passing. We have so many fond memories of our first meeting in the apartment on Centre road in the sixties, experiences with EMO, trips to Switzer’s for corned beef and knishes, freshly squeezed orange juice in Florida, homemade wine, Jack’s spaghetti sauce, swimming and skeet shooting at the farm, our kids getting together at the farm. Jack and Carole were among our best friends and we shall miss them greatly. Denise and Paul

Dear Cindy, Michael, Stephen, and family, Thinking of all of you and sending you our love as you grieve the loss of you Dad and Grandfather. Enjoyed so many family gatherings over the years with our cousin Jack, especially on the farm outside Erin. Jack always greeted us impeccably dressed with his signature pipe in his mouth. Please know that he was loved and will be remembered by all of us. Scott, Bryan, and Alison were part of those memories and they send you their love and condolences. XO

Cindy, Mike and Steven, sorry to hear of your fathers passing. I'll never forget Christmas at the farm with your father playing his John Denver records on his Clarion stereo. "Thank God I'm a Country Boy" !
